Coco, designed by Rubén Saldaña, receives this prestigious award thanks to its compact, elegant and apparently simple design, but with high technical performance. It is a light and powerful solution: Coco is a spotlight with a qualitative and uniform light distribution, offering great freedom of emission with four opening angles, 360° rotation and 90° tilt. It also stands out for its exceptional lm/W ratio.
Every year, the Red Dot Design Award – in the category ‘Product Design’ – aims to find the best products. The products selected by the Red Dot jury can be aesthetically appealing, functional, intelligent or innovative; in addition, they all have exceptional design in common.
In 2024, products submitted by 60 countries were judged in the 51 categories of the competition. The jury members awarded the Red Dot Award based on the qualities of good design as well as the respective socio-cultural backgrounds, professional approaches and design experiences. The products were not judged in competition with each other, but on their individual merits.
