For years, we have been working towards a more sustainable future. Arkoslight’s commitment to sustainability is a long-standing journey that began with embracing the power of the latest technology in our products, and today translates into the pursuit of lower energy consumption and the use of more environmentally friendly materials.

From the use of state-of-the-art LED technologies to smart design and the integration of recyclable materials, every detail is carefully considered to boost energy efficiency and minimise environmental impact.

Looking to the future, today we celebrate the milestones that are making Arkoslight’s commitment to sustainability a reality.

Every detail is carefully considered to boost energy efficiency and minimise environmental impact.

We can proudly state that we have been meeting the strict environmental quality standards designated by ISO 14001 for 15 years.

In the last 10 years we have managed to reduce paper and cardboard waste by 60% and plastic waste by 70%, thanks to the joint work with our suppliers.

In addition, we have managed to reduce energy consumption in our facilities by 25% in the last 3 years, thanks to the installation of photovoltaic panels.

If we look at our collection, we can say that we conceptualise each new product based on different eco-design precepts. The main objectives?

  • Achieve the maximum result with the minimum number of components.
  • Use the minimum amount of raw material for the luminaire to fulfil its function: specific software is used to calculate the minimum amount of aluminium (in weight and volume) that would be needed to dissipate the heat emitted by the luminaire.
  • Prioritise the use of mechanical joints, avoiding adhesives or other polluting materials.
  • Prioritise the use of highly energy-efficient LEDs. In this case, the Coco and Buddy families, recently added to the catalogue, are particularly noteworthy.

But we do not only focus our efforts on the product portfolio, but also on its protection and presentation. In terms of packaging, we use only cardboard (which is 100% recyclable). In addition, in recent years we have replaced the bubble-paper product protectors with 100% compostable potato starch (PLA) product protectors. Furthermore, we must not forget that each product has its own packaging; a presentation designed to measure with the aim of not using unnecessary materials or wasting space during transport.

The future is written through environmental commitment. We celebrate the actions of the present, while designing those that will lead us to a more sustainable horizon.

Again, less is more.
