GOLDEN Award winner project in the category Public Lighting Awards 2022
St. Catherine’s library and study room highlight the architectural boundaries of the space and the books they house. In particular, linear lighting follows the oblong horizontal shelves, facilitating students’ work. An open plan space is supported by softly diffused lighting with intensity levels appropriate to the library’s operation. At the design level, luminaires were selected with soft sculptural forms that balance in a familiar yet architectural environment.
